Eligibility for GATE:

  • Anyone who has successfully completed 10+2+2 or 10+3+1
  • Currently studying in 3rd year or higher of any undergraduate degree program
  • Has already graduated in any government approved degree program in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Science, Commerce, Arts
  • No restriction on age.

GATE 2022: Update

  • GATE 2022 will be organized by IIT Kharagpur
  • Addition of 2 new subjects: Geomatics Engineering (GE) and Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (NM). With this, the total number of subjects in GATE is now 29.
  • In another change, student can now also opt for two different papers from the prescribed set of combinations.
  • Eligibility criteria for GATE exam has now been updated to 10+2+3. This means that even students in their 3rd year of their UG program can now appear for the examination
  • All test papers of GATE will now be totally objective type.
